NEHA (Nepal Education and Health Association) is an NGO providing services of education and health for the needy people in all around Nepal. It started with 7 Nepalese and 2 Norwegian; 7 Nepalese from the same target area and 2 Norwegian during their short visit to Nepal after the earthquake lead these people to do some action together for these poor needy homeless children in Kathmandu Street. The main activities of NEHA include provision of health care through national and international volunteers and donators.

WHAT IS NEHA’s LOGO?

NEPAL: Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia rich in its culture, religion, people, places and so on. Nepal is officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. After 7.8R magnitude earthquake in Nepal on 25th April, 2015, there were so many impacts on every sectors from education, cultural heritage to health of the Nepalese mainly people who lost their houses, family during the huge earthquake.

EDUCATION: In Nepal about one quarter of children in Nepal are engaged in some kind of family or wage labor. Poor families are often obliged to send their children to work rather than sending them to school.

HEALTH: About 80 percent of Nepalese people live in rural areas. Household food insecurity and poor nutrition are major concerns in these areas, where about half of children under five years of age are undernourished. Most rural households have little or no access to primary health care (our own manager- Mr. Babu Lama’s relatives belong to rural area and they have no any near health checkup service, they still have to walk 1 hour to hospital with one doctor, 2nurses and few staffs), safe drinking water, sanitation and other basic services.

ASSOCIATION: Group of friends with 7 Nepalese(together since childhood) and 2 Norwegian people(who came to Nepal for short term visit but ended up being helping hands); trying their best to help needy people.
